In the green of the chain of the Alburnums, to approximately seventy km from Salerno, in a vocative natural amphitheater they are situated Coves of the Angel of Pertosa. Recent studies make some to go back the origin of 35 millions of the year. After the visti we go in Padula to see her Charterhouse. This is the biggest Charterhouse and the most important Baroque religious monument of Southern Italy. Its construction was started in 1306 for Tommaso II of Sanseverino and it was not completed until the 18th c.
It is dedicated to St. Laurence, extends for 51,500 square meters and comprises courtyards, cloisters, a garden and a church; it is the guardian of an important art heritage: sculptures, paintings, frescoes, decorations and furniture.
